Editing and 1:1 Coaching

Need help polishing your college admission essay or supplemental materials so they are ready to WOW admissions committees? You are in the right place! From more involved 1:1 coaching and writing strategy to essay editing feedback, you can find the support you’re looking for. See below for the editing packages and writing strategy support we offer.

For Packages 1 – 3 listed above, edits will be completed within 7 days (from the time all the materials are properly shared/submitted). However, RUSH editing is possible. Rush edits will be completed within 2 days (from the time all the materials are properly shared/submitted). The word counts reflect the current word count of your essay (not the final word limit).

A la carte: If the above packages do not reflect your needs, you can request your own package by filling out the form below. Edits can be for any of the following: supplemental essays, scholarship essays, etc.

• $90 for a 45-minute 1:1 writing strategy call
• $55 for essays up to 300 words
• $75 for essays up to 500 words
• $95 for essays up to 700 words
• $115 for essays up to 900 words
• $145 for essays up to 1200 words
• $35 for Activities and Award List

How it Works:

Step 1: Select and purchase the package that best fits your needs, or request a custom package.

Step 2: Share your documents via a Google doc. For Packages 2 and 3 (and any custom package with more than one essay), all essays should be in one document. Just be sure to clearly label what each one is and which prompt it is responding to.

IMPORTANT: Please carefully read the directions below to avoid delays in the editing process!

• Your full name should appear in the title of the Google doc
• Make sure that the document you are sharing is set to “Anyone With Link Can Edit.”
• If you are having your Awards and Activities List edited, make sure include the following for each activity: activity type, role/leadership position, organization name, and your description.

Step 3: You will receive your materials back from me via email. The edits will include detailed comments and suggestions as well as a Screencast video of me explaining the strengths and areas for improvement. I do not just give you suggestions only for grammar but rather for every key component of your essay including: the overall tone/voice, structure and fluidity, word choice, content, narrative elements, clarity, and word count. The suggested edits will ensure that your are telling the most compelling story about yourself for admissions teams to read!
